Welcome to T3M Tours and our extraordinary African journeys.

I am writing this as we attend the Florida Outdoor Expo in West Palm Beach, Florida, sharing my enthusiasm with those excited by the thought of exploring what Africa has to offer.

Born and raised in South Africa, our childhood was shaped by the open road. Every school holiday meant another journey — through South Africa and Namibia — packed into the back of a car, and later the canopy of a pickup truck. Those early adventures weren't just trips; they were explorations of a wild, untamed beauty. Dusty roads and endless horizons showed us the beauty Africa has to offer.

After high school, I got behind the wheel of a semi-truck, transporting corn across borders — from South Africa into Namibia, Angola and Zimbabwe.

Those long-haul journeys weren't just about delivery. They were my introduction to Africa in its rawest, most honest form.

  • I learned the roads.
  • I learned the people.
  • I learned how the landscape shifts — from desert to bush, from silence to vibrant border towns.
  • I experienced Africa long before I ever guided it. Today, that same spirit lives in T3M Tours.

We don't just take you to destinations — we travel them with the kind of understanding that only comes from years on the road.

We're glad you are here.

Why I started T3M Tours

I started T3M Tours because I believed that Africa deserves to be experienced properly: not from a bus with thirty other people, not on a fixed itinerary that hasn't changed in five years, and not with a guide who's leading their fourth identical tour that week.

Every journey we operate is private — you're getting stories, context and insight that only locals know.

Every route has been driven by me personally, not by Google Maps. Every lodge is chosen because it earns its place, not because it pays a commission.

When you travel with T3M Tours, you're not buying a package — you're getting access to what makes Southern Africa extraordinary.

Why a newsletter?

The purpose of our newsletters goes beyond marketing. It is to share our knowledge and experiences with you — the seasonal rhythms of the bush, the wildlife behaviours, the roads worth riding and the ones worth skipping. Whether you're planning a trip or simply dreaming about one, I hope every issue gives you something real.
